Hubble, bubble

Around Rotorua there is the most spectacular geothermal activity with steam seething from cracks beside the road, in gardens and at the lakeside. Mud pools bubble and splutter and geysers hiss and there is always a slight sulphurous smell.
The previous day as we watched the geysers we had seen the sun eclipse though the thin clouds.
