Here the Maoris, after doing the Haka, are doing a Powhiri welcome dance as we arrive at a village in the forest to see and learn of their ancient rituals, traditions, arts and ways of life. In the Wharenui house afterwards we had the most delicious Hangi meal which had been steaming under the earth on hot rocks for about 3 hours.
