James's Thorn

A frosty day with snow due tomorrow afternoon so perhaps I should have saved this shot till then.

The snowy top is called James's Thorn and is the South West corner of Bleaklow Hill in the Peak District. If you have ever driven through Glossop towards Sheffield via the A57 Snake Pass the steep drop off the southern edge of James's Thorn is briefly visible from the High Street near the ESSO petrol station.

Its my local favourite and I will make no excuse if it gets blipped again during the winter.
