Revelation

New Year's Day 2019 and it was time for the great reveal.

As I've mentioned a couple of times on Blipfoto over the last couple of months, the group of friends with whom I have my Ne'erday dinner decided last year to do a Secret Santa with a difference. Each of us had to send five random items to our first Secret Santa. That person then had to create a Christmas decoration with these five items and send that to the second person they drew from the hat.

Well, last night we had great fun displaying all the gifts we had received (that's the picture above). Great discussions then ensued about who had sent what gift to whom, about what 'raw materials' had been sent to them in the first mailing and the ingenuity involved in making each decoration, sometimes from the most unlikely of sources.

Prior to the unveiling of our Secret Santa gifts, we had enjoyed an excellent meal and some board games where the boys were comprehensively beaten by the girls each time. Another late night when I got home after 2am. On this occasion, though, I was too tired to have a dram and went straight to bed. It's only the 2nd and already I'm exhausted!
