Special treat
Back blip
Sorry still filling in the gaps !
Mike was so lucky to get back ok yesterday as one hour after his flight from Gatwick the airport was shut because of a suspected drone sighting, lots of people stuck at the airport as flights were cancelled and many planes diverted to other airports. No more travelling now until January thank goodness.
A beautiful sunrise and this little fishing boat was making it’s way out on a golden sea.
I had been given a voucher from one of the Brownies for lunch at Cooper Creek in Cromarty. So Mike phoned to book a table but they do not take bookings and said there should not be a problem getting a table although the local craft group of 10 people would be arriving at 12.We decided to have an early lunch and got there at 11.30am ,however they only serve drinks and cake until the lunch menu starts at 12. No problem though as it meant we could have a quick walk before hand and a look in the shops. There are not many shops but the ones that are there are full of interesting things and I was tempted and bought a lovely pheasant candle holder made from rusty metal and a few metal Gingerbread people ( not allowed to call them Gingerbread men anymore, Honestly ! ) .Nearly bought some mistletoe from the Antique shop but decided to leave it
We managed to get the same table we were at earlier and had a delicious lunch, a really good panini packed with turkey, bacon, stuffing snd cranberries .David had the pulled pork version which was equally as tasty.
A drive back along the coastal road, stopping to wash the car and to look at the birds at the birdhide.
