Welcome to the new year
After a week of polishing off the Christmas fare, today’s supper came as a refreshing change. Don’t get me wrong, the traditional festive season with all the trimmings is always a treat. But the follow-on of cold meats, beef, turkey, gammon even lamb becomes a trifle tedious after a few days.
So we were determined to have a complete break to welcome in the New Year . . .small lobster grilled with crayfish tails, accompanied by a little salad and tiny boiled potatoes.
If the rest of the year continues in the same vein, then welcome to 2019!
