Looking Forward

My spirits were lifted no end today, as a new year begins. My activities have been curtailed over the last couple of years but I'm starting to return to some sort of normality. I haven't managed a bird year list for those 2 years but am determined to do so for 2019. We got off to a flying (!) start today by going down to the river and ticking off some of our favourite "locals", including a pair of Dippers who were far too busy feeding in the tumbling waters to pose for photos - but I was just pleased to see them. Other highlights  included a statuesque Grey Heron,  a Tree Creeper and a reflecting Grey Wagtail (extras).
