Lamb's-tails
I was booked for a shift in the Wildlife Trust pop-up shop this afternoon, so walked into town along the river to make sure I got some exercise and daylight. It also gave me the opportunity for some photography - more heralds of spring and gazing at tree-trunks for mosses and lichens.
I arrived early and spent some time chatting to friends, who told me that it had been deadly quiet since Christmas. After a while it was decided that they didn't really need two volunteers, so I was able to leave early and was back home by four o'clock. I'm not needed next week, so I only have one more shift on the 11th January.
