Catkins

These are the first catkins of the year (I know its not quite 2019, but I am happy to stretch things a bit). We came across them when we were out for a walk this morning. We also got slightly cut off from our route through a housing estate and a man with a very old golden retriever, who we had chatted to earlier in our walk, let us walk through his garden to get back onto our route. This afternoon we went to B and Q in Galashiels to get some paints ready for making a start on decorating our bedroom. Then we went to Herges in Tweedbank for a spot of lunch
