Not Portuguese

Having thawed some frozen pastry and not needed it, I decided to make Pasteis de Nata, Portuguese custard tarts, with it instead.  They are always a bit hit and miss, and these weren't the best, but they still passed the taste test!  

Reading in bed at night, I could hear the lid coming off the cake tin . . . !
