Still meandering

This afternoon Minty and I walked along the old railway line/cycle track at Croftamie and stopped halfway across the meandering River Endrick to blip this view again.

Since last blipped over four years ago, Dalnair House in the distance has been rescued from dilapidation, restored and converted into ten luxury apartments. 

As you can maybe see, the developers have also built umpteen large 'mews' properties in the grounds. The ground was always going to be more valuable than the old mansion.

Oh, and I see it's now calling itself Dalnair Castle! Somewhat pretentious, but I'm pleased that the beautiful original building has been saved from becoming a ruin.
