Feeling rested

After a long 4 hour drive from our previous nights hotel passing countless coconut husking plants, shops where you could buy a lovely set of car seats and not so nice car seats, or any car part you can think of we arrived at the caves of Dambulla. Cut out of the granite rock by Buddhists in the first century BC this reclining Buddha is on the Unesco world heritage site list and is a thing of wonder. V simple but tasty lunch at a roadside cafe. Our delightful hotel overlooks the lion rock Sigiriya which is our early morning destination. So up at six. Time for some reclining.
