Lichen Covered Cross

At almost the last minute we decided to spend 5 nights over the Christmas holiday in a tiny cottage in Grasmere.

After travelling over from the North East of England on the Saturday afternoon we decided to have a lazy day on the Sunday. We walked from the cottage into the village for a coffee at a favourite coffee shop and then took the riverside walk before heading back to the cottage for lunch. Later we attended the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at St Oswalds Church in Grasmere.
