LAUREL AND HARDY

This is a statue of Laurel and Hardy in Ulverston, Cumbria near where I live.  For younger people who may not know they were a huge comedy double act in Hollywood films, long before the wonderful Morecambe and Wise (for UK people). Stan Laurel was born in Ulverston. There is also a museum to them and shop names relevant showing their pride and love of Stan Laurel. 

They also have the names of some of their best known films engraved in the ground near them. I am showing an extra one of one of their most famous films which also happens to be the name of their fan club - The Sons of the Desert, which was made way back in 1933 (yep even long before my time!!!!)
