The Winding River....

After the recent rain there is a little more water in the upper Taylor River; enough to cover the three groups of large stepping stones. The extra flow prevented me from crossing the stream. So early this morning Maisie and I took a longer walk enabling us to cross the River via the Meadowbank Station bridge. I went to the supermarket soon after 7.am and it was already busy. People are in “Siege Mode” stocking up food just because the shops will be closed for one whole day... Christmas Day next Tuesday.
