The First

It's the First of December and I awoke to the first snow of the season.

There wasn't a lot of snow (less than 1cm) and most of the countryside was not white, but at mum's house, near the top of the hill and shaded from the sun, the garden was still mostly covered in the morning, although the snow had not stayed on the surrounding trees.

There was another short flurry of snow at lunchtime, it was enough to show up on the photograph but did not last very long. After seeing lots of photographs on the internet of the Xmas lights, etc in Edinburgh and seeing all this snow I was feeling rather festive, I even watched a couple Xmas movies, including "White Christmas" :-) I really must start thinking about buying some presents!
