Christmas Wombat!

About 12km south of Young is a VERY tiny town called Wombat. Of course we have to stop and pay homage to the town Wombat every time we drive through. I was happy today to see that he was once again dressed in his Christmas costume. We’ve just arrived in Beechworth and tomorrow we’ll head to Melbourne and hopefully be there by lunchtime. Only a short sprint down the freeway tomorrow.

A huge bonus today was the drive on the back roads rather than heading across to the Hume Freeway. It’s such a boring drive once you get on the Freeway so we decided to drive via Wagga Wagga and then across to Albury before we hit the freeway. On the way I realised we were going to go through Junee and friends had recently told us about an AMAZING Licorice and Chocolate Factory in Junee. CCN was having a nap and imagine her surprise when she came round and found herself sitting outside her favourite confectionary of all time.......licorice. It was a wonderful experience and after sampling just about every product made by the company we were on somewhat of a sugar high. Needless to say we now have a cool pack full of licorice to take to Melbourne with us. A very happy day all round.

PS The good news is the factory now have an online store - greengroveorganics.com.au Thought I’d add it in to assist any licorice loving blippers :))
