It is literally the first time I've felt the sun on my face in what feels like (and may actually be) weeks. I drove uncharacteristically slowly to my favorite RI coffee spot, deliberately keeping the sun in my face, hoping for a direct serotonin injection or at least a sense of neurochemical balance. I don't miss the city and I don't miss the summer, but I find myself holding onto this burst of daylight for dear life.
