We are going outside, we may be some time!

Ok, the frozen wastes of Antarctica it isn't but it was a good covering of the white stuff we had this morning. The forestry work means that there is a lot less cover and shelter for the wildlife. However, there are other belts of woodland round about so hopefully, nobody's going to be homeless for long.
Sadly, it does look as if we may be stuck with frozen snow for a few days anyway. I rather hope I am wrong. However, things could be worse - it is at the time of posting this, -23 C in Irkutsk!
Euan & Ali joined us for lunch and we played with the toys, admired the Christmas tree, watched the trains and built a snowman.
The tea is cooking away so we will soon be settling down for the evening.
