The cacophony of noise was loud with all sorts of music assaulting the ears in Princes Street with sounds from the ‘fairground’ attractions in the Gardens, a piper and even a busker playing a toy xylophone very badly.  Unfortunately the musical Salvation Army band were just packing up as I passed by but it gave a chance to hear a brilliant musician play his strange ?homemade instrument (extra)
