Eagles On Sauvie's Island
We took a lovely drive this morning out to Sauvie's Island to check out the Sandhill Cranes and other migratory birds, ducks and geese. It was really beautiful out and didn't start to rain until we were on our way back...good timing for once:) We saw some sandhill cranes fly over and I got a quick photo of them, then ran into several hawks and eagles chasing all of the geese. But my favorite photo today was the two eagles in the tree, which I have posted.
Be sure to check out the other photos....we saw a huge container ship going up the Columbia River, right next to Sauvie's Island.....it looks gigantic!! And the photo looking back at the west hills of Portland was so pretty....we live right on the other side of those hills. I was amazed at how much follage is still on the trees and the fall colors are still going strong.....in the sunlight they were beautiful!
