Ducking The Convoy, Aylesford

I'm using my days off thick and fast before Christmas. Today started with a run in the bitter cold - it was definitely a gloves on jog. I felt very sluggish and tired but it did do me good to get out and breathe the fresh air.
After a wee rest and a bit of a soak it was time to walk to the pub for a pint in front of a real fire to warm my cockles. I thoroughly enjoyed the restful sit! I then decided to go and take some more images at the Winter Wonderland in my village. Being the middle of the day it was closed but I really like the slightly eerie freeze-frame, suspended animation feel to it. The two extras are called "Hey Mickey!" and "A Regular Joe".
The setting also reminded of the rather wonderful BBC Christmas ident featuring the hard working mum and her son. I really love how it is filmed and don't understand the criticism it has received from some quarters - I think it's a rather life affirming short story that we can all relate to.
