An Opportunity Missed

It was dark, overcast and looking like heavy rain when PD arrived this morning so I didn't take a camera out with me.
Mistake.
The sky turned to fire!
Needless to say by the time we got home there was almost no colour left.
By lunch-time there was quite a bit of blue.

I thought I might show you what the wood looks like in winter.
As I have said before - I can't  see the wood surviving for as long as it should …… the waterlogged ground wont help.
