A Visitor in the Dooryard

Dear Diary,

I looked out just in time to see a lovely visitor in my dooryard.  This young doe looks in great shape for the coming winter; thick coat and plump.  It will be much different come late January or February if we get a lot of snow and she can't find food.  Then it will be time to get deer feed to leave out or many won't survive the winter.  She seemed quite interested in me too.  Such a pretty face.

Our weather is moderating and it was a whopping 10F this morning; at least it is above zero.  They are even talking about some rain in a few days so our bizarre weather continues.
