Sandside

Today's the day .......................... to watch dusk descend

Still very icy round here today - but we did manage to thaw a path out to the car. We took a run out to Sandside, just a little upstream on the Kent Estuary from Arnside.

If anything, it was even colder there - the thermometer in the car went down to -2.0 degrees - and everything was very frozen and still. The sun went down behind a bank of clouds and dusk descended.

Fortunately, one of gladders' gulls flew into the middle of my picture to give it a bit of scale ................................
