I tried to photograph one of the many garden birds feeding again today. The garden was alive with them, all heading for the plentiful food we provide around the place.

So why is this image another in my occasional series on tree bark? I didn't go out with the camera until after 2pm and I tried to entice the robin to a log where I don't normally put the worms. It was very, very, very cold sitting in the hide, so after half an hour I gave up.

In the dusk I could see the woodpecker, blackbirds and finches still busy.......... Perhaps I'll have better luck tomorrow.

This is bark on the apple tree, taken from the hide, with a bit of processing treatment.
