Twisted trees
Last night we celebrated the completion of 2 years of Haltwhistle Walking Festival Ltd with our AGM and a good meal out. When we left the restaurant it was snowing gently. I stayed in Haltwhistle overnight for obvious reasons (!) - thank you M and B.
This morning I drove to Geltsdale to see how the ancient trees were faring. The snow was on the ground but had fallen immediately from the branches. This is a beautiful wood with all sorts of delights to see.
I've tried to capture the way in which trees grow, hollow, fall, regenerate and sometimes other trees grow through the old ones.
