Berry Picking

Watching out of the window whilst cooking Christmas fare I saw a huge flock of Fieldfares and Redwings land in the hedge opposite. 

At a stretch with 1000mm I did manage to get a shot today! Hurrah! 

Yesterday's dog walk was a complete debacle on the photography front as the camera was left accidentally in the kitchen. Thinking ... well how much can I miss, how bad could it be just for once and I just put my mind to walking the dogs. Catastrophic I think would the call!!!! A herd of deer came flying down a hill, stopped, jumped across the path in front of us, did a detour and galloped at a pace back and forth down the path with Poppy at full throttle chasing after them. Honestly I could have shot myself at that point.
