Matthew Flinders and his cat Trim keep an eye on rushing commuters outside Euston station. The man literally put Australia on the map, but his burial site was allegedly swallowed up by another railway station over in Hampstead. I'd been to Flinders Street station in Melbourne and never made the connection, but thanks to running round for today's photo, finally joined the dots. Sometimes today sheds new light on our yesterdays and it can make us smile too.
