All that glitters

The IT crashed at work today, which gave me an excuse to get outside for half an hour. I love these gates and the view of the Victoria memorial in the background. Designed and executed by Thomas Brock, it was nearly a quarter of a century in the making, starting in 1901 and completed in 1924. It weighs 2,300 tonnes. Makes me feel quite skinny :-)
