Michigan Hygge
Hygge: The Danish concept of cosy contentment.
I call my visits to my Michigan cousins as ‘Michigan Hygge’. Because it’s a place where I can always slow down and totally relax. It’s even easier on snowy winter days. Copious amounts of tea and coffee were drunk today. PJs stayed on late and were put back on early. There was a long nap in the middle of the day. Classical music was listened to. And today was also a cross-country skiing day!! I wasn’t expecting it as it normally takes place on Saturdays and Sundays only, but this weekend it was a 3-day tour from Norway. I was sleeping when it was on, but I enjoyed the sprint races on catch-up on my computer. (See Extra photo).
Pizza was picked up for the evening. A perfect Hygge day!
