mossy

I took a walk to photograph the sun shining on trees, hills, leaves, bark, water. So lovely to see it after the last few dreich and darkening days. I had fun playing around with this one of the waterfall at Routin Brig, trying to make it look like a Victorian postcard, but you can see the sunshine in the extra.

When I got back home, D told me that he was looking for some moss for the delivery man. It's a sad fact that delivery drivers can get into trouble if they spend time actually talking to people instead of rushing around delivering parcels to a strict schedule, so I won't reveal who this driver works for or where he comes from, but D has become quite friendly with him and today he had a request. He asked if we had any "mossgo" which puzzled D for a while but he realised the man was talking about moss, which we have plenty of, living in our damp Scottish climate. Apparently his family like to use it as part of their Christmas decorations. We peeled some off the top of a drystone dyke and put it in a sack outside for when he passes by next time.

Happy to be of help :-)
