On Prancer and Vixen

My Dear Princess & Dear Fellows,

Signs of Xmas are now all around. These two little fellows popped up in the Lambton Eatery food court. And everywhere I turn there are trees and Santas and happy elves.

In other news, Lemon was telling me about her family today. Her younger boys were asking Lemon about their dad's other kids.

She explained that their dad has children with two other ladies, so all the children have the same dad, but different mothers.

"So we've got two half-brothers and one half-sister?" they asked.

"THAT WE KNOW OF," shouted Lemon's sister from the other room.

"Why is that?" they boys asked.

"BECAUSE YOUR FATHER COULDN'T WRAP IT," continued Lemon's sister, making her feelings known.

It wasn't an expression I'd heard before. And maybe it's because of the time of year, but I imagined him wrapping it in sparkly paper with a bow. And maybe a wee gift card.

It took me about 5 minutes to recover.
