Grand-paw...

Day three of a busy weekend!
Two nights out on the trot really deserves a Sunday morning lie in but with John and Norma coming for Sunday dinner there was no such luxury.
They arrived just before 3pm and we had coffee and belated birthday cake (John's birthday was when David was in the Lake District so this is the first chance we've had to see him since) Alan was very excited to see his Grandpa and Norma and they were equally pleased to see him and the very tall inflatable Santa in Alan's sitting room (Norma looked hilarious next to it as it towers above her. Wish I'd taken a photo of her beside it!)
I made a proper Sunday roast dinner, which we all enjoyed before settling down to watch I'm a Celebrity.
So in the end it turned out to be a lovely, lazy Sunday after all, made all the better by John and Norma's company. They are so funny and so active, I struggle to remember they are 81 and 82 respectively. John accidentally picked up and put on Norma's glasses. She called him out on it and when he handed them back she looked at me and said "it's at times like this I'm thankful I still have my own teeth!" I thought I would choke laughing!
Apologies for the terrible quality of this shot but this was Lola tapping John's arm with her paw in order to elicit a tummy rub from him. She's such a cutie when she does this and I just grabbed my camera and took the shot with no thought to lens or settings. Needless to say he obliged and she was his best friend for the rest of the night.
