Daisy, Daisy...

Another day, another flower blip, but I'm afraid that whilst I am doing the online photography course, I will only be using my camera for flowers so it's either this or an iPhone Lola blip!  :-)  

We've had a lovely day today.  David and Lola had a lovely walk, Alan went shopping with Christine and Ashleigh and bought Christmas decorations for his new sitting room, David, Lola and I went to Gloagburn for coffee and a scone and a little Christmas shopping. 

On the way home, driving the back road and looking at the most amazing winter sky, we pondered how lucky we are and gave thanks that our prayers this time last year for a better 2017 for our boy have been answered.

Taylor and Alan attended the Craighalbert Centre together in their pre-school years before going on to their respective primary schools.  

Taylor's family have already been through a lifetime of heartache after losing Taylor’s wee brother Evan three years ago, at Christmas time too, which makes it extra unbearable.   

Evan contracted the cold sore virus as a newborn baby.  It led to devastating brain damage and ultimately his death age 5 in 2014.  His mum Lynsey has campaigned long and hard to raise awareness of the dangers or the coldsore virus to newborns, young babies and children.
 
Taylor was premature and that caused his cerebral palsy.  He is such a character.  Fantastic sense of humour and always positive and always thinking of others.  Having come close to losing Alan last year my heart is breaking for Taylor and Lynsey.  I just don’t know how on earth you watch both your children slowly fade away.  I have no idea how or if you ever begin to recover from such loss.

No matter their age, give your babies an extra tight hug tonight or the next time you see them.
