My life in France (revolves around food).
To tell the truth, I have been having a hard time getting started with this whole fotoblog thing. I couldn't seem to figure out what to take pictures of so I just started taking pictures of everything, which has resulted in my having loads of really terrible pictures of random things. I really like the concept of recording simple "a day in the life" images and moments. Here in Moûtiers in November, there really is nothing going on at all. The between-seasons in the Alps are really quiet although (we've heard) the area comes alive in the summer and winter. So, we are patiently waiting for the snow to fall and the ski resorts to open. One way we fill out the evenings (because there is no nightlife to be had) is to make a big production out of cooking and eating. We have a sit down dinner 6, if not 7 nights out of the week. Baked chicken is always a favorite because it feels fancy to eat and we get about three meals out of it because we make soup out of the left overs. Last night we stuffed the chicken with leeks sautéed with lardons and white wine, which is a great way to go. Although admittedly the photograph leaves something to be desired, remember this is my first post and I shall improve, I promise you. Plus, since food is such an integral part of my day, I think it suffices as "a day in the life" entry.
