Empty

A very uninspiring kind of day today - grey skies, drizzly rain and an empty Southend seafront. These are the railings leading to the Southend Cliff Lift - saves you walking some steep steps and all volunteer run for 50p a person with nice views over the estuary! - but nobody was queuing to use it this morning when we popped in to the shops.  The early sales seem to have brought shoppers out in their droves though which was a good sign for the high street! I may be getting grumpy in my old age though as I'm already sick of Christmas and we aren't even in december yet!! Just call me the Grinch!
