Christmas Lights 1

Setting up the Christmas/winter lights on our outdoor trees is nearly always a frustrating experience because we are reluctant to throw away our lights, which means a lot of fiddling to get them going again.
However, this year we were using a totally new, still-in-the-box set, so I was looking forward to simplicity.  As you see this was not to be. As we put them up the lead broke of at the end of the socket. The design was dreadful with a heavy transformer plug crimped onto a very thin cable.
So, on with the repairs.
