Bramble and Beeches
Ever since I was young i have loved beech woods. My parents took me to Burnham Beeches in Buckinghamshire when we visited family friends who lived in the area, and for the last twenty-five years we've been regulars at Witton Country Park on the outskirts of Blackburn. There are no beech trees where we live in Mid-Sweden, because they cannot survive that far north, and maybe that makes them even more precious to me.
Bramble, on the other hand, sees this as her home turf. A wonderful mixture of open woodland floor, where squirrels can be spotted and chased, and thick rhododendron where roe deer hide, a much more exciting quarry to chase.
