For His Lordship : : In Memoriam

He was a lovely man...kind but with an impish sense of humor.
He was a true gentleman.
He had impeccable taste yet never looked stuffy.
I remember being granted a glimpse of his inner sanctum behind 'the Door'.
I remember fits of giggles and a hasty retreat when we entered a stuffy seafront hotel in Oban.
I remember when Lady F and I got separated from HL and OilMan as we crossed the line at the Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, and somehow making it back to Berkeley with no money.
He knew how (and when) to wear a kilt.
And he looked magnificent
He and Lady Findhorn were wonderful traveling companions from Scotland to Canada and the Pacific Northwest,  from Mexico to the American Southwest,
Our adventures together were legion.
I can think of more than once when he saved the day by calling a taxi, making a reservation or a diplomatic suggestion.
He was a dear friend and we will miss him.
This  is from one of our last outings together.
Our thoughts are with Lady Findhorn today....

 Rest in Peace, Sandy.
