A wood-eating fungus

Hereabouts, it has been a pretty poor Autumn for fungi, but today I found one that I haven't seen before. I'm not at all sure what it is but, until someone better informed tells me otherwise, I am settling for the White Brain Fungus Exidia thuretiana.
