Tractors, Archeologists and Quizmasters...

Saturday has been a very full day, First thing I was off to Cambridge to meet up with Claire for breakfast. On the way back home I stopped at Michael's farm and took this photo... New Holland T8050s in their winter quarters.

This afternoon I (together with most of the village) visited the development site being assessed by archeologists before the building work can begin. They were having an open day to share what has been found. It turns out that the site shows activity right back to the Mesolithic they found literally thousands of pieces worked flint... There was also an Anglo-Saxon settlement.  The first extra is one of the Anglo-Saxon sunken featured buildings and the second is a bone comb that was found there... I do hope that there will be another open day when the archeological work is finished so we can see everything that has been discovered.

This evening there was a quiz and fish and chip supper supporting the parish church, we didn't do too bad, not winning but avoided the wooden spoons by a comfortable margin.
