Well Hung

Another arctic day, but a delightful train journey to Glasgow in the sun through a frosted countryside with fields sporting new iced ponds of flood water and houses with white roofs of frost.
The condensation steam from the Grangemouth Refinery billowed in vertical clouds from chimneys marring the view of far off snow capped hills.

We were in Glasgow to hand over an Advent Calendar to granddaughter Nina and my Samsung TZ 5 camera to daughter Lucy. It is now surplus to my requirements but will fill a gap in hers.

In exchange I was given a a painted and bejewelled stone and a Christmas tree card, both made by Nina. I have a new paperweight and a possible blip for another day.

His Lordship took us for lunch to Jamie's Italian restaurant in George Square, and I got my tagliatelle bolognese and a blip of the hams hanging at the counter.
It was no accident that his Lordship,a vegetarian, chose a seat with his back to the meat.

We got back to Edinburgh and the Dower House just as the afternoon lost a lot of its frosty sparkle and was getting colder and damper. Time to pull down the blinds, put the lamps on and relax after a lovely day out.
