Today's outing with Peak District Walkers was to go down Wapping Mine and the adjoining Cumberland Cavern in Matlock Bath. We posted ourselves through the entrance one by one and walked about 3 kilometres, mostly upright but with plenty of stooping, crawling and scrambling! I haven't done anything like it before and I really enjoyed it, although it's not really my thing and I probably wouldn't do anything similar again, but it was great to have tried it.
The extra is of graffiti, of which there is a lot in various chambers. This link gives more information.
