Frosty Forest

Probably missed a beautiful sunrise and I am gambling by blipping this as there is supposed to be mist here at sunset.

As we didn't have to get up early we all took advantage of a long lie this morning. Just as we got up the mist was clearing and there was quite a bit of frost. Hubby and I took the dog for a walk. The light was lovely and the heat in the sun was melting the ice. We turned a corner and this is what we saw.

The frost was a brilliant white yet the trees and foliage ahead of it had already been sunkissed and the strong autumn colours were on display.

It was a stunning sight. Don't know that the beauty really shines through.

Fingers crossed that sunset isn't too good. I don't want to debate with myself whether to change this.
