..the West Australian Christmas Tree and a sure sign christmas is just round the corner.
Fantastic orange flowers that once again are a bee magnet and we have one at the end of the street that looks pretty average most of the year until the flowers appear, competing with the lilac jacarandas.

And when is a tree not a tree?
When it is is the largest mistletoe in the world and the only one that grows in the ground rather than on the stems of plants and is a root hemiparasite. It gets a tad overenthusiastic at times attaching itself to underground cables, I guess mistaking them for roots!
