Closed, Closed, Closed Down.

Market street Cambridge, I had gone to find a trendy little jewellery shop, my granddaughter's favourite,  but it was no longer there on the left. Three shops had closed on the right also, although it seems there will be yet another Japanese eating place in one of them. I had gone in town today, to get a few gifts and to pay a couple of bills in the main Post Office, which also wants to close and move into Sainsbury's. Goodness knows where they hope to put it as the store is not very big and crammed with all their own stuff. This is beginning to sound like a bit of a rant !  Armed with a list, I ventured out on so called, Black Friday, nothing like the great Black Fridays, when visiting my family in Colorado, where most goods are at least 75% off. Also in the USA, I was told the reason for the name 'Black Friday' Apparently shopkeepers hoped to boost their profits which were recorded in black ink, and bring them out of the red ink losses. Another suggestion was that it referred to black marks left on the road surface as so many people rushed out shopping on their holiday weekend....not convinced with that one.  I didn't find any bargains today!   I can't seem to get my extra shots on lately. I had the same scene in the 80's with individual shops.
