If you build it they will come...
Early this year I got a pair of Adidas Galaxy Trail running shoes for £29 in SportsDirect (they sell cheap and I chanced upon a discount day).
I figured they'd do for training runs and if they're $h1t then no great loss.
But I've been VERY impressed with them. I even used them for The Seven Hills of Edinburgh race. Sadly, their lugs are getting a bit too worn down for the mud that my trails have become. I'll wring another tour of duty out of them next summer.
I've been lucky once before so I wandered along to TKMaxx to check their range of trail running shoes.
And, as expected, they had none.
I wandered home, absorbing precipitation surprisingly sleet-like, by a hitherto unknown path. It wasn't the short-cut I'd been led to believe by Google maps.
Got this blip on the way.
