Monday: La Jolla Seals

Well, this was nearly the photo that didn't make it (see below......)

We headed out to La Jolla (pronounced La Hoya) today, about 20 mins north of San Diego. We took Uber to get there and back - exciting in itself as it was our first time using it (we don't have ride-sharing in Vancouver yet).

La Jolla is famous for its lovely coves and seals. They lie all over the rocks and you smell them, before you see them. Some groups of tourists really got unacceptably close to them which I always find very disrespectful.

As for why this shot was almost lost - we sat on the beach for some time. After a while, we moved on, strolling back on the beach and looking at rock pools etc. After an hour or so, I noticed no camera! I'd left it lying on the beach - unbelievable to find it was still there when we rushed back to the spot......

Another brewery discovery tonight - 'Mission', followed by sushi.
