Doel

I made a trip to the almost abandonned city of Doel.It is an uncertain process of 20 years allready, in which they forced the habitants to leave their city . They got some compensation, but a few ressisted. About 30 people still living in the village. During all those years many have visited the city for good and bead reasons. Houses got destroyed , some recently set on fire and so on. Now the gouvernement has placed cameras and closed the empty houses with iron plates. When You enter the city with car, you have to show your id  to enter the gate. There are rumours to make the city again a living entity.
I met this young gentleman who came to Doel with his pimped old timer.
I had a little talk in where he explained a lot about his passion.
